 Benjamin Jay Smith, 37, regularly scoffed greasy takeaways, including two double cheeseburgers or 20 chicken nuggets, for dinner. He ballooned to a whopping 308 pounds and was unable to walk upstairs or even put on his own socks six months ago. 


 

But since then, the entrepreneur has fought the flab and lost the astounding 140 pounds.  Benjamin, from Wrexham, north Wales, said: "I was so fat that I couldn’t put my socks on or go upstairs. It was embarrassing. I felt like a pudding. I’ve always been an emotional binge eater. I was addicted to food – high-calorie pizzas were my downfall – and was regularly eating triple the recommended daily allowance. I hated looking at myself in a mirror, was embarrassed about my size, and felt depressed."

Benjamin finally decided to shed the pounds when his now wife Cara was ill with lipoedema and needed an urgent operation. The long-term condition leads to painful swelling in the legs, thighs, and buttocks.

"I had to be strong for her. So I changed my focus to only eating food when my body needed it and I cut right back on my high-calorie diet," he said. ." I had previously tried every diet including Weight Watchers, low carb and high-fat, but nothing seemed to work until i stumbled across Custom Keto Diet".
